Synopsis:

A Many-Splendoured World is a select series of great Indian Paintings introduced by Prof.B.N.Goswamy. The Third lecture of the triad titled “Vision and Devotion” is on the paintings of the Pre-Rajasthani paintings Bhagavat Purana, possibly painted at Mathura around 1520-30, also famous as the Mitha-Nana Bhagavata or the Palam Bhagavata. It is perhaps the earliest surviving illustrated version of the life of Krishna as described in the Tenth Book of the Bhagavata Purana.
